They will enable children from the community to grasp English much\r\nbetter and encourage them to use their 'home language' officially, without\r\nfearing criticism from those outside the community.The dictionary has been\r\npublished with a vision to make the education system more sensitive to\r\nlinguistic differences between students from the marginalized communities and\r\nothers. It is compiled by Kikkeri Narayan, a professor retired from Central\r\nInstitute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysore and the founder of bilingual\r\ntransfer model of education for tribals.
