Three-day Katha Kammata begins on Saturday – The Hindu Feb 26, 2015

Karnataka Sahitya Academy and Arasi Samskruthi Kendra of Arsikere are jointly organising the three-day Katha Kammata, a workshop on short stories, at Amaragiri Tirupati (Malekal Tirupati) in Arsikere taluk from February 28.

Writer G.P. Basavaraj will preside over the workshop.

Critic G.H. Nayak will inaugurate the workshop on Saturday.

Chairperson of the Academy Malati Pattanashetti and member Rupa Hassan will participate in the inaugural ceremony.

Scholars and short story writers who will take part in the workshop include A.M. Shivaswamy, H. Jayaparakash Shetty, Kikkeri Narayana, K. Keshava Sharma, Bhagirathi Hegde, Alaka Tirthahalli, Basavaraj Kalgudi, Tarini Shubhadayini, K.P. Suresh, Keshava Malagi, Sabita Bannadi, Fakir Mohammed Katpadi, Sunanda Kadame, M.S. Sriram, Gopala Krishna Pai, Pattabhiram Somayaji, Lohit Naikar, Mahantesh Navalkal, L.C. Sumitra, Banu Musthak and G.V. Anandamurthy.

Young short story writers from across the State will also take part.
